Reduces the risk of entering water into the air heater when driving through water.
For this purpose, the air intake of the air heater is moved up to the height of the vehicle battery. During the water passage, the air intake of the air heater is blocked by a ball valve. Due to the volume of air shut off in the heater, no water can penetrate from below through the exhaust of the heater. The air heater must not be operated as long as the ball valve is closed.
The exhaust gas is discharged downwards without silencer. The combustion noise of the auxiliary heater increases. Optionally available: watertight exhaust silencer, item no. TA-T5-604-30-002
