The suspension of a heavy camper is not optimal due to the camper extension and offers on the one hand not enough suspension travel and not the optimal tuning. TO CHANGE ONLY THE SHOCK ABSORBERS ALONE DOES NOT PROVIDE THE SUCCESS ! This was not only the realization of Twin Monotube project, but also the opinion of the suspension experts and suspension engineers from Eibach Germany and KONI Netherlands. Therefore, together with these experts, an active complete suspension kit with more travel was exclusively developed and produced, which is incomparable!
The target was quite clear:
For this additional special springs with more travel plus active Twin Monotube CSC dampers according to the TMP dimensions and specifications were necessary, which KONI produces exclusively ! And indeed active dampers, which work perfectly without latent susceptible electronics, without annoying electr. error message, without brittle cables , without corroding electronic contact connections ! Whether you drive on German highways or on vacation on distant dusty off-road tracks. Nothing is more annoying than to install additional latent susceptible electronic parts, which let you down exactly when you can not use it. Furthermore, even an air suspension can never offer the driving dynamics as a well-tuned steel suspension.
These active Twin Monotube CSC dampers from KONI have an additional, special valve integrated into the piston, which creates a controlled, parallel oil flow (in addition to the oil flow through the piston), which thus very effectively swallows fast, short bumps away comfortably but reacts to loads that cause tilting and rolling of the vehicle and significantly minimizes.
This in conjunction with the settlement and break-resistant, perfectly tuned Eibach springs with Eibach-KOMFORT set-up offer the interplay of more suspension travel, more comfort, more ground clearance and at the same time more stability.
